Dark Mode for Google Docs & All Websites ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by Logic Fusion, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

The short version: We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The Extension runs entirely in your browser and does not communicate with any external servers.

Information We Collect

We collect no personal information whatsoever.

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal information (name, email, address, phone number)
• Browsing history or browsing activity
• Website content or page data
• Cookies or authentication tokens
• IP addresses or device identifiers
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Keystrokes, form inputs, or passwords
• Screenshots or page content

How the Extension Works

The Extension operates entirely within your local browser. It functions by:

• Injecting CSS stylesheets into web pages you visit to apply dark mode styling
• Storing your preferences (toggle states, contrast settings, theme selections, site-specific settings) locally in your browser using the Chrome Storage API
• Reading the URL of your active tab to determine which site-specific settings or curated themes to apply

All of this processing happens locally on your device. No data is sent to our servers or any third-party servers.

Data Storage

The Extension stores your settings and preferences using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.sync APIs. This data includes:

• Whether dark mode is enabled or disabled globally
• Per-site toggle preferences (which sites you have enabled or disabled)
• Contrast, brightness, and sepia slider values
• Selected color theme preset
• Feature toggle states (image protection, schedule, performance mode, etc.)
• Schedule settings (if configured)

This data is stored locally in your browser profile and, if you use Chrome Sync, may be synced across your Chrome browsers through Google's infrastructure. We do not have access to this data.

Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• activeTab — To inject dark mode CSS into the page you are currently viewing
• storage — To save your preferences locally in your browser
• scripting — To apply dark mode stylesheets to web pages
• tabs — To detect when you navigate to a new page so the correct settings are applied
• alarms — To support the scheduled auto-enable/disable feature
• Host permissions for all URLs — To apply dark mode styling on any website you visit

These permissions are used solely for the Extension's core functionality. We do not use them to monitor, collect, or transmit any data.

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data collection services. There are no embedded trackers, pixels, or SDKs of any kind.

Children's Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we collect no data at all, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
